Dance taught her many valuable life skills and provided a great source of joy to her childhood and teen years, and enjoys bringing her mental health training into the studio to facilitate the development of skills and characteristics that dance teaches kids and youth.

Heather is currently launching her Dancing Mindfulness program - a dance class that teaches mindfulness within the context of an enjoyable dance class combining steps taught in class with creative and free dance! Mindfulness is about bringing out attention to the present moment, which reduces worry/anxiety, stress, improves attention and focus, develops resilience and improves sleep. Students learn mindfulness strategies that can be used in their daily life. Dance provides an opportunity to explore mindful movement, attention focused on body awareness, expressing emotion, and enjoying music.
