Dancing into the Present Moment
Mindfulness practices bring us into the present moment - the most wonderful moment there is! We are so often lost in thoughts of our past or worries about our future that our lives fly by largely unnoticed and unappreciated. Mindfulness is all about awareness, attention and appreciation of this moment.
A huge and growing body of research shows that mindfulness of the present moment brings happiness, health and wellbeing, and the more we practice and know Mindfulness, the deeper our contentment, sense of wellbeing and happiness can grow.
Dancing into the Present Moment is a program that aims to give kids tangible experiences to help connect them with the present moment and understand how to find the peace that comes with mindfulness of the present moment at any time, anywhere. With learning and practice of skills in the context of a wonderful dance experience, it is the goal of this program to empower kids to choose happiness for their lives in each and every moment.
Dancing Mindfulness Classes
"Mindfulness is a dance of happiness"
~ Thich That Hanh

Creative dance is lead by Miss Heather Ksyniuk, who provides enjoyable, semi-structured creative dance experiences that help to further connect students with the concept and experience of Mindfulness.
